Horticulture

Lantor Special Products has been operating in the worldwide horticulture market since 1970. We develop, engineer and make nonwovens for propagation systems to customer specifications.

Our latest development is the production of a biodegradable nonwoven based on mais, to be more specific  PLA ( poly lactic acid ), because the fibres of this nonwoven are made of a natural & renewable materials, there is no environmental issue for using this material in horticulture.

We invite you to contact our R&D department to learn more about this revolutionairy 'green' material.

At present we are in contact with all major producers of ‘paper pots’. Because we are producing the staple fiber-based nonwovens ourselves, and determine which specific binder combination is most suitable, our polyester/viscose mixture is the most effective for a variety of machine suppliers.

Our standard material is a mixture of PET & Viscose

viscose hort.

Our alternative is a nonwoven with approx. 90 % Viscose

If required we can add a special coating to a nonwoven to ensure positive fixation. The most recent developments include PVA binders that dissolve in water.
