Lantor B.V.
Lantor BV was established in 1959 as Hollantor BV, with Dutch, English and American shareholders. The initial focus was on the production of nonwoven undercarpets. A few years later, Hollantor BV was renamed Firet BV, after Hollantor’s highly regarded brand name Firet®. Ten years later, Firet BV was renamed Lantor BV, after the new English parent company, and more and more investments were made in nonwoven interlinings for the textile industry. By the mid-eighties, Lantor has begun diversifying into industrial applications, which resulted in the development of unique and revolutionary products such as nonwoven waterblocking tapes for the cable industry and nonwoven core materials for the composites industry. With the ongoing shift of the textile industry towards low-wage countries, Lantor decided to concentrate on industrial applications and sold its interlining activities, including the brand name Firet®, in 1998. Since then the company has been trading under the name Lantor BV, as well as well-established brand names and trademarks such as Coremat®, Soric®, Finishmat® and CondenStop®. Today, Lantor BV has a staff of 175 FTEs. Lantor BV is a fully integrated manufacturing company whose activities include web forming, finishing and converting/customisation. This vertical integration assures effective product development, consistent quality and flexible logistics. At the same time, in order to serve the fundamentally different industries and customers in the best possible way, the Lantor Sales & Marketing organisation has four separate divisions. Lantor is ISO 9001:2000 and ISO 14001 :2004 certified. Its General Conditions of Sale are available here Slitting Machine Nonwoven production line | |
